Good lord. I mean, just get a Keytar at that point.![]()
The humbucker you have when you not having a mudbucker Genuine Gibson SG Bass "Non Mudbucker" Humbucker Neck Pickup | Reverb Anyone know of a clone of an EB-0 long scale? Have seen used Gibson EB-0L but too pricey for my modest budget. "just get the EB-3 longscale EPI" you might say. But the minimalism is surging in me. I guess I could pull the bridge pickup out and cover the hole and get rid of some knobs. But you ask " just get the 30" EB-0". I'm going thru a BEAD phase and I want another BEAD machine that looks the part. B on a short scale is too loose for this goose he heHey this is what is under the Gibson SG bass neck cover, right? What's the deal with these? I assume these sound different from the traditional 30K mudbucker, yes? What are these even called? I've been trying to see if I can get one but I don't even know the name of it so I can't search for it lol.

What's the deal with that pickup? Is it the same size as a mudbucker? If I had a spare 5 grand to splash around, I reckon one of these Gibson EB-4L would be right up my alley. The position of the pickup. The tonal variation of the kind of humbucker in it. The non bound fretboard which is rounded at the end. Me likes Gibson EB4L 1973 | Reverb Australia

They sound very different. Like 9.7k compared to 30ish.
A part number should be on a sticker on the other side.

I'm trying to look for other options for the neck pickup that have more clarity, but will still fit under the standard chrome cover. Doesn't look like there are many options.![]()

You could ask Jerry Sentell if he'd be willing to mount his Unmudbucker under a chrome cover provided by yourself...the worst thing he can do is say "no"...
There is a guy over on the "Midtown" forum that will sell the complete electronics and bridge, pups, pots, everything out of a Midtown bass.
Goes by "mazinda26" PM him ..........
I've never played a Gibson bass before so I don't know what that pickup sounds like. But anything has to be better than the stock EB-0 pickup lol.
