There's been many threads on everyone sharing their own bands, but there was never a thread on sharing local bands that everyone enjoy seeing perform. which is why I've started this thread. share some of the local bands that you like. rather if it's a band that you've done a show with, heard a demo from them, or a band that you have seen perform at a bar, restaurant, festival, etc. post links to their websites, their music, and if you got one, a video from their performance. here are some of my favorite local bands.

Breakestra from Los Ang is amazing. Miles the bass player rips and you WILL dance if you see them live.

I also liked The 88 from Long Beach or Los Ang.

Awesome...I was wondering if someone will respond to this thread. I figured this would be a great patch to support local bands that we enjoy seeing perform and sharing their music. keep'em coming, guys...and girls.

Do you have a video or link to their music? if so, feel free to share it.

Downtown Brown. They tour all over the states and open for big names. I think they'll be huge someday.

One of my favorite bands to see around town here (and one of TB'r Fro 20's bands) is the Jony James Band. Here's a link for when they opened for ZZ Top at a concert here.
  10. Oh, plenty of rad bands in the Maryland area:

    Heavy Lights (melodic dreamy pop-rock):

    Wildhoney (beautifully noisy shoegaze):

    Crimson Wave (all-girl noise pop):

    Carousel Rogues (alt-pop):

Dead Monks (noisy Dinosaur Jr-esque rock):

Silent Old Mountains (epic folk (just broke up :crying: )):

    Lilac Daze (Jawbreakery grungy punx):

    Braceface (pop punx):

    ...and a shameless plug...

    Ghost Hotel (my band, dream-pop):

Not local to me, but I found an amazing duo on You Tube out of SLC, Utah, playing in a pizza joint! Mike Masse (vocals/acoustic guitar) & Jeff Hall (bass/vocals). I'd link to their many vids but am ashamed to admit I don't know how. :crying:

Yes we do! I'd like to think anyone who visits here, and is into live music, would be pleasantly suprised to see what's going on here. :hyper:

They sound good! My sis-in-law's boyfriend keeps inviting me out to see them (his son plays with them) but it seems everytime they're going it's on a weeknight, and that almost never works out for me :(

    How about Lazlo Hollyfeld:
