Share your favorite OC- 2 Boss Octave settings and what style of music do you use that setting for...

The way I use it these days is with a lot of "Direct Level" (clean) tone in the sound. I want it to sound like my main tone with a cool octave effect layered on top, rather than turning the whole sound synthy or anything (which is also awesome, but just not how I use it right now...maybe I will some other time...)

I do this but with oct 1 dimed and direct level at noon or sometimes nineish.

I do mine either:
100% Oct 1 and everthing else 0 or
100% Oct 1 and 50-60% direct

I use it mostly to cover modern dance/pop crap that needs that uber low synthy-ness and thickness or to get that glorious low Oct 1 solo tone for super dubby stuff.

edit: forgot to say... It goes into a Digitech BSW and then an Ibanez PD7 for some dirt after that. Nothing too crazy but it gets the job done for a lot of different stuff.

You want something else,...get a MXR BOD.

This is not what it was intended for but it is what it's best at. Pure OC-2 tone, disregard your bass guitar.

Agreed. I normally use the first with my double chain so no dry blend needed.

I just got this one and this is the setting that I keep coming back to.

I think it sounds much better with my IE fuzz and filter than my last octave.

Same here. Occasionally I will put the OCT1 at 75% and Direct at Noon.
