I saw a pic of him playing a BTB on stage...I dunno....I havent ever played a thunderbird before....but I want one soo bad,especially the nikki sixx custom *drool*

The pictures of Shavo with the BTB in the studio, and those on stage, are from the self titled System of a Down LP sessions. He used the BTB and a few other basses for that album.

He used the Thunderbird exclusively on Toxicity for a fact. It sounds terrible live, to me anyway.

This is the same question my little bro asked him while he was signing posters at one of their shows, and this is what he told us. All except the part about his horrid live tone, that is.

I think he sounds pretty awful on System, not too bad on Toxicity. It totally sounds like he's farting on a condenser mic on Peephole.

On the Toxicity sessions he had some Rics and a Gibson SG-Z as well, as well as his old BTB500. This is what I've seen from the studio documentary on the limited edition VCD of Toxicity.
