Shedua?

Well I wanna make a bass out of shedua or ovangkol as they call it at places like Warwick, but I would like to make it neck through but i have no idea where get a piece big enough to be a neck and body, but i have found one big enough for a bolt on neck for about 10 dollars. Anyways does anyone happen to know where i can get a big enough piece for a neck through for hopefully not too much?

Hmm. Well I just re-read your post, and it looks like you are looking for a single big piece of shedua from which to carve the whole thing in one piece? If you can find such a honkin slab, it's going to be very expensive. Laminating is really going to be the only practical way to go. For that, you just buy several smaller pieces and glue them together with opposing grain.

looks like you have a couple of dealers near you but maybe no local shedua.

i've never ordered from anexotic myself but they seem to have nice stuff. i use 48" long lumber for neck through, should be no problem for anyplace that stocks shedua. be explicit about what you need when ordering mail order and get extra if you can in case you need to go to plan B.
