They DID have a farewell tour, complete with "The Final Show", a press conference, and a "cessation of touring" agreement. Which, of course, turned out to be a complete deception and/or flat-out lie.
I parallel someone else on here with Theatre of Pain being my first concert at age 14, and I love those '80s albums. But damn, what an absolute dick move. Watching their current trainwreck is almost satisfying.
A mattress for Vince, and towels for the rest of the band.
I don't think he's a good fit, either. He doesn't fit the vibe at all.
Regarding the backing tracks, why aren't they using them for Vince? Seems that's where they should be used first and foremost.

Announce a few highly exclusive club dates, get people almost rioting over tickets, after a few good reviews on shows you announce a world tour.
Idk tho, I used to be a big Crue fan, but the whole thing recently with Mick Mars was a big bummer. And I'm kinda seeing now how much Nikki Sixx is just in it for the money. Probably wasnt always like that but, it definitely is now.
I heard some podcast with Tommy, he was talking about how accurate "The Dirt" was, and basically admitted that he just let the other guys write whatever and agreed that it was true even if he had no recollection. Not that I'd expect him to remember much but, he basically said (without saying it), that there was no way to confirm most of it and that to him it was fake memories.
But yeah, idk what we expect. The retirement plans for rockstars are kinda poopie. Especially if youve lived HARD. They gotta keep up the lifestyle and I doubt they made wise investments for their retirements while they were in their 20s.
The "It Should Be Over, But It's Not" tour - let's see if we can make that the official name!
I totally believe that! I don't gel with alot of it here. Male groupies, in general always was pretty lame.
There are alot of punk bands, that I would and do get behind & support---and most of them tour Poland and neighboring countries.

Crue has a new album to tour on, I think. I know one song has been released at least - Dogs Of War. Its much harder than their normal Pop Rock sound.
I think John 5 was like AC/DC going with Axel. While it might not be a great fit, its a known quantity. Mick Mars new album is not bad, but he has said he will not tour as he is not physically capable.

From the beginning, Nikki has been concerned with one thing and one thing only: looking cool and being perceived as cool. The fact that he's still playing to backing tracks in 2024 proves that.
Mick and Tommy always seemed like the only musicians in the band. And Vince just wanted to get laid as much as possible.

Quick summary for those who don't know: They had a farewell tour in 2015, but after their Netflix movie, decided to come back. Since Mick couldn't tour anymore because of health issues, they fired him and hired John 5.
Mick sued, because he believes the firing was illegal and that case is still pending. He accused his former band mates of using tracks while playing live and this has been proved for the most part.
I was a hard core, lifelong MC fan, but they should've stayed retired. They've become the classic washed up band that can't perform anymore but won't quit. Their ticket prices are sky high and to me, its not worth it to attend their concerts to listen to per-recorded tracks. It's a shame.

They released a cover of "Fight for Your Right to Party" and I warn you, It might pierce your eardrums and cause ear bleeding. It's really bad.

I wouldn't know. But I've seen a number of older punk bands (Descendents, NoFX, Jawbreaker, others) recently and they can, in fact, still bring it.
It will be. Once again, Nikki Sixx will pretend to play bass while the backing tracks roll on.It could be an elaborate prank, who knows.
