Double Bass sherlter stat b without her preamp ???

Schertler has a 9v battery power supply or the larger preamp with a 10v switch.

So if you can supply 9v that would be fine. I found it easy just to build my own battery powered condenser mic preamp with a 9v battery, then I run it through a homemade preamp off fdecks design.

It delivers a very nice sound without any EQ necessary, so you can run it through any amp or small PA.

I used to use my old one with a Raven Labs PMB that supplied 9 volt phantom power, worked fine. I don't remember it ever working plugged straight into an amp without phantom power. I'd be scared to run one at 48 volts, but that's just me, I don't know for a fact if that's a good idea or a bad one. I've got another one here on loan that I'm planning on trying just as soon as I get a new cork glued on that fits my bridge.

For the 9v battery supply I just used a simple condenser mic powering circuit I found on google.

However Im not sure the impedance matching preamp is going to work in your case with that adapter, the phantom power cant be plugged into the preamp.

My setup is: pickup ->9v power -> preamp -> amplifier

However I imagine that schertler adapter would probably make that preamp unecessary.
