shining up a hwy 1?

I got mine used from a a punk rocker who used a pick. Had a few pick marks on the body so I buffed it out smooth as a babys behind using first a rubbing compound and then some guitar polish...all with elbow grease. They shine up nicely. Ive worn through a few spots in the finish through normal use in the last few years. The spots I have worn through, have only got through the top layers and not through the sealer coat or into the wood yet.

Don't worry about the sealer. It's poly and very tough. Only the topcoat and color coat are lacquer on the hwy 1's. I'm hoping to scoop a hwy 1 P though in the future. I love the way they wear.
