Had a similar situation with FedEx.Last week I received a bass shipped by FedEx. Sender required a signature on delivery. I happened to took out my front door window and saw a very large box sitting on the porch in the rain. Delivered with no signature, no knock on the door, nothing. Thank the stars the bass was 100% OK. Ship with lots of insurance and take lots of pictures.
UPS. The driver told me if its marked Out For Delivery, he doesnt go home until all deliveries are made.
FedEx Ive experienced Out for Delivery for days and Delivery date not updated until next day.
Wonder how their rates compare to Shippo, which is what I've been using. I usually have my choice of USPS and UPS on there. I had a package that would have $17.80 at the post office end up only costing me $13.52 using Shippo.Pirateship will save you a ton of money. They ship with UPS, which is a union company with real employees. FedEx and USPS are a crapshoot.
I always ask the seller what carrier they prefer because quality of service differs substantially between locations.
