Short scale strings?

I just bought a new lakland Hollowbody-30 and the strings on there are great!! I want to replace them with A pressure wound or brite flat. Here's the question. Whats on there now are 45-105 . Ghs unfortunately only makes Pressure Wounds ( My all time favorite string) In 40-96 GHS makes a Brite flat in 49-108 . What would be closer to what i have? I don't want to mess with the truss rod if I don't have to. or any other suggestions?

D'Addario Chromes are 45-100 and are pretty bright flats IMHO. There's actually that same bass for sale used near me that I have been eyeing. If I bought it, I'd have Chromes on it in about 5 minutes.
Beautiful bass BTW. I'm jealous.

That's news to me. I have them on about 10-12 different short scales and never noticed that issue. Even if they were sticky, after a couple of years that wears off LOL!

my knowledge of string theory sez - if you change your string tension, you must be prepared to adjust the truss rod.

I would be all over those Pressurewounds. I will do just that, when I get my next guitar.

I love the pressurewounds but I'm afraid the E string would be to loose on tension.

Mine were but a quick wipe down with alcohol took care of that.
