Short scale version of nickel lo-riders?

Does anybody know of a short or medium scale string that comes close to the sound of DR nickel lo riders, particularly the front of the note attack (thump) and tone after the NLRs get broken in a bit?

What about GHS boomers? Nordstrand carries a custom length set specifically for the cat bass...

The Nordstrand Acinonyx "cat" bass is 30.7" scale.

LaBella makes them.

Or you can cut any string to length. I have a 30.7” bass. TalkBass is great but you’ll get short circuited by all the people saying you can’t cut bass strings.

I've been trying out the SIT Power Wound Nickels on one of my Yamahas and like them so far.

Well, since posting the above, I've tried Boomers 50-107, Dunlop Super Brights 45-105, La Bella LTFs and now the regular Dunlop Nickels 45-105.

The regular Dunlop nickels are working really well. Also liked the SBs, but the reg Nickels are better for my purposes.

The thing I like the most about all the Dunlop strings I've used to date is the clarity. That and that they don't have an abundance of grind/zing/crunch, not even when fresh.

I use the same guage in flats on two shortscales, an Ibanez Mikro and a Bronco, and they're great strings, if a little light. And as you say, remarkably clear. I used to put La Bellas on my long scales, but the La Bella short scales are not true short scales - the ball to silk distance is too long.

No matter what the bass or the scale, I always seem to end up back with Dunlops..
