...not only cargo shorts, but ANY shorts. Of course we're all in agreement that cargo shorts on stage playing music is abhorrent behavior, but are there any shorts at all that dudes over 50 can wear and not embarrass themselves? Not only gigging, but in general?

Nothin’ wrong with shorts, people. Life’s too short to worry about what people think of your shorts. Crap, the RHCP played just wearing a freaking sock, and you’re worried about shorts?

Approx. correct height for women: closer to top of thigh, with a bit of [level] pant leg below the inseam

Of course, if your legs are heinous, avoid entirely

I wear shorts on stage and I sit on stage, caring what anyone else thinks - not since I was about 15.

Never understood why people are against shorts on stage. The average cover band has to drop three steps for the singer and he still can't sing in tune, yet pants are the big concern..
