should I buy a zon sonus?

If rich sounding chords are on your wishlist, the Zon was a great choice. I have a bunch of nice basses, but nothing comes close to the Zon's clarity when playing chords. Each note is perfectly discernible and rings long and true.

I know this thread is old, but I'd like to resurrect it because I'm thinking about getting a Zon Sonus or Mosaic and I haven't been able to test one anywhere. Everyone seems to agree that they are very clear and clean sounding. But I've also heard that they can sound "sterile". The best example to hear is Zander Zon on you tube, but he uses Piccilo strings, so that doesn't help me much. I'm afraid the Zon basses will be missing that sweet juicy tone where the notes have a warm buoyancy, or "bloom" if you will. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I'm considering both the Standard 4 and the USA 4.
