Quick disclaimer here: I'm not a supporting member here so I know I can't sell a pedal on this forum. This thread is strictly to seek advice.

I have a guy that has offered me $160 shipped for an Emma Discombobulator. I really wanted $180. Part of the thing is, I think the DiscoBob is an awesome pedal and don't totally want to part with it. On the other hand, I just never use it and there are a number of other pedals out there that I really want and would probably use a lot more.

Should I hold out for a better sale, or is this a fair price for the Emma these days? They don't seem to get quite the love they used to.

Depends. I would. After all, it's only $20. I don't know about anyone else, but I was not a big fan of the pedal. Maybe i didn't give it a chance. Anyway, yeah, if you want it gone, take the 160.

I sold mine for $180 two years ago, which means you could probably get about $40 for it these days.

The definition of what anything is worth is: what you can sell it for. Reflect on that.

Sounds like he offered you the right price. Just high enough for you to accept, but low enough for you to regret the sale.

Probably, I'd take the 160. Maybe if you were offering UPS at 180, negotiate to USPS for the 160.

I don't really agree with this. My first guitar was a Fender Mexican strat. I don't really even know what I could get for that, $150? But if anything ever happened to that guitar I would die (figuratively of course). My Warwick bass is "worth" 5x as much easily, and I would be really upset if anything happened to it, but I'd trade it to get my "cheap" strat back if it were lost.

That being said, I don't have that kind of sentimental attachment to the Emma so maybe I'll just let it go. Just wanted to really see if that sounded like a good price to you guys. I don't really frequent other forums much and I haven't seen one for sale used here or on ebay for a while.
