Should I fire my guitarist?

You let someone else do you the favor of loading your gear, then you complain about the quality of service? Ingrate.

why yes... yes I do... asshat dropped it... now I only seen it happen the one time, and it broke my SOUL.... the othertime could just be hearsay from the drummer....

neither one will tell me the truth about NOTHING... so I don't know who to trust in this situation lol....

And as a matter of fact I am the leader of the band (kinda odd for the bassist to be so from what I hear), so I could fire him.... but then we'd prolly just start another band with him or hire him back in lol....

Buying a rack case is on my to do list but being a broke guy... just don't have the funds =(...

So I saw a new option, not exactly humane but it would keep him from dropping my amp again.

I) Kill him

I came up with a new one

J) Plug into his gear and blow it up

Only issue here is he'd have to borrow my guitar gear from then on :hmm:

I didn't ask him to load my gear in... we were just in route to the gig (about 1 hr behind) and he took it upon himself to get my stuff from the trailer and set me up....

It's humane. I didn't say torture him. :)

Seriously, make him pay to fix it and make it clearly known that NO ONE handles your gear.

btw, I am the De Facto leader of my band and the bassist. Also no one touches my rack.

Dude's missing a testicle?

Man, if he ain't got the wherewithal to take better care of his own family jewels, I don't think I'd let him anywhere near my gear... musical or otherwise.
;)

*Disclaimer: I realize that he may be a huevo short of an omelette for reason's other than being accident prone, and I don't want to make fun of anyone who may have survived testicular cancer or other unfortunate circumstances. Just sayin.

I must agree with this statement as well as the disclaimer...

Before everyone chimes in yes for the fact he's a guitarist... he also plays bass and is a TBer... lol

Here's the situation..... I'm a poor college student, with a 10 month old daughter.... I saved my very precious cash to buy an Ampeg SVT 4Pro... love that amp.... he loaded it up for a gig.... opened the door and BOOOOOOOOM to the concrete.... very shortly it had to go to the Dr...... fast forward a few months... amp is out of the shop.... gigs going great... everyone loves the amp... he loads trailer.... unloads without me there and sets me up.... drummer claims he dropped it again.... its acting funny....

so do I: (any and all orders and combos allowed)

A) Politely ask him to treat my gear better

B) "accidently" bump his amp stack over

C) Kick him in the cohone (he is sans one of the twins)

D) Repeat C multiple times

E) Ask for him to fund a repair

F) Repeat D multiple times

G) Give up because he's obviously a tard

H) Have myself be the only one to ever touch the amp (takes up the area the baby's car seat goes in my vehicle)

.....

Like a few have said some of your options can get you in trouble, but you did ask so I would do E then A then B and then when nobody's lookin... never mind... if he does it again then he's fired...

if I were in that situation I'd have a couple of back-ups and not worry about it... just wear shirts with our pictures "in action" to practices and bar gigs and make comments about how awesome it is to have BOTH of them.... good times good times....

I'm in no worry about getting in trouble with this... this is mainly a hypothetical retaliation thread... thus why coming up with fun things.... we'll get my amp fixed, he'll help blah blah blah.... just wanting to have some fun "tortures" arise =D
