Should I get a Helix Stomp XL or a Noble?

This is exactly what I was going to say. I use the Sushi Box Neptunium and an HX Stomp. Sounds amazing! Add in the HX Stomp provided Noble patch and you have a magical best of both worlds sound.

I'm sure you can get it, I don't see why not - all HX Stomp blocks are available in the HX One, except you can only use them one at a given time.

But I don't think you should use the HX One as a "Noble for the poor".

Being very old-school and analog, I would go with a high-quality tube unit such as the Noble or Arkham Oracle, but that's just me and my vacuum tube bias (pun intended) speaking.

I run a Stomp XL. For home, studio and some indoor gigs I run through a Khan VTDI which most consider on par with a Nobel.
For outdoor gigs I just run the Stomp… if it makes a difference, depends on which bass I’m running. It’s that subtle.

I have an HX One and a Sushibox Finally DI. The Regal into the Finally sounds pretty darn good. It is not my main tone, but I break it out for some songs.

Personally, if ya have the scratch and want an exceptional tube DI and perhaps record a good deal the Noble is what it is...

I've never been a fan of Line 6 for Bass...I'm sorry.
