Should I go squire?

Im currently an owner of a musicman stingray wich is great but I was looking for another bass to add to my collection.

Well I played a squire the other day that played and sounded awsome. But.. it was squire so I was hesitant about it. Should go squire or go fender mim? I will probably be adding a new neck with 21 frets, and new pickups on either bass I get. So after changeing these two things, do you really thing the mim will be ANY better? I mean they use the same bridge so... Only thing really left is electronics and wood I guess? What do you guys think? Is the body wood any diffrent with the two?

You must remember a few things. ..

Neck will not say squire with a new neck.
I I only make about 100$ a week.

Oh and I played this squire at guitarcenter I COULDN'T belive it was squire. It played about as good if not better than my musicman..

Edit: well remembering the QC is really bad wich is why most don't play too good. Im thinking maby it might have been just a good match with the body and neck. They may have both been off but together fit pefect... Meaning if I changed the neck it would go to crap.. Well does a mim really have much better qc?

If it plays and sounds "awsome" now, it might not after replacing the neck...

IMO, if you're going to replace the neck and pickups, you may as well just build a "parts bass". Just find a body and hardware to go with the neck and pickups that you want...

The only thing that comes to mind is that the action is too high on your stingray. This would be fixed with a setup.

Thanks for the spelling tip. Also what don't you get? The squieR played good. There is nothing wrong with my stringray. The squier just played good. Is that too hard to understand? I mean. It IS possible for a squire to be set up good.
