Should the OT mods be more aggressive?

OK background over.

Jazzbo stated that we can't badmouth people even ones viewed as wrong. So I have to put up with someone who annoys me and report their posts. BUT if for example I tweak their name for example DEAFANUS I'll get away with it even though I've called that person and arsehole that doesnt listen.

My choice of example also highlights another thing here. This person has had a 'conversation' with JT that I observed very intently and as a direct result took him (DeEAGER not JT) off my ignore list. However some others joined the band wagon of insulting him (and in another thread).

So to the point my contention is that we should be allowed to flame people to a point and then leave it be To illustrate my point Bruce and I have had a 2 day humdinger of a handbag slinging punch-up which culminated in him giving me advice on a cabinet. We both got over it. Strictly abiding by the rules seems to cause resentment. Bitchy name calling and gang mentality causes resentment. Let's have some middle ground.

Stands off soap box.

Mods I wont go sulky if this post is deleted

Not to give a simplistic answer to a well-thought out post, but...

I agree with you Chris, it's just that, this guy had about a good 5 people coming at him, hard. And that's kind of, well, not cool.

well i would just like to state that i for one have no hard feelings towards any of you guys. i appreciate some things that have been said and i dont appreciate some things that have been said, though i will defend your right to say them at any cost. im not the type to hold grudges for even a second over even serious matters, much less a bunch of internet mumbo jumbo. :p i just hope noone else has any grudges or anything towards me, i just have no hard feelings and i hope you guys dont either. :)

EDIT: stupid grammer mistakes :hmm:
