am I understanding correctly that the eq2 will accept two signals, EQ them separately and send them out the same cable? Or are they on separate “lines” or “loops” as it were, with separate outputs..?

it does, or as i do, i can merge two signals to one after. And has a good tuner, gate, hpf and every eq band can be set at pretty much any hz and as wide or narrow. Super flexible!

With all those preamps, what do you use the stomp for?

For live or rehearsal I mainly use it as an effects unit.
Sometimes my setup just the HX Stomp alone and place the MBD-2 in the loop.
Its also great for my home silence practice having the amp/cab or IR on.

Pedaltrain Metro 16, its got a Tight Arse HPF (30hz) first in line under the board too, Diamond Jnr running on 18v.

Redid my board again. The SY-1 never came, the free spot is now is for a - to be determined - compressor.

The Dingus is connected to the two IN channels on my Bassbone.

Path: Bassbone > fx loop > MBD-2 > SF-300 > Slö > Twin Chorus. I just realised I wanted to turn those last two around. It's a 35C degrees out here, so my brain is not thinking clearly.

I'm done for now! (Famous last words, I already know I'll be in the lookout for some nice muff to play around with..., but my board and power supply are full, so at least that adds some restrictions).

Anyhoo, as you can see, since the last picture I added a Darkglass Hyper Luminal and this weekend my new Boss MD-200 arrived!

I put this together as a dedicated upright board, but I'm rebridging the beast at the moment, so I use it when I want a mostly clean sound with my other basses. It was a homerun with my T-bird, but when I tried my five string, she put it over Landsdowne.

So, after years of the endless search for effects, ideas, inspirations - spending an inordinate amount on gear, only to sell it in a huff... I have whittled it down to this! The only thing missing is the clip on tuner that is coming soon.
'Scuze the mess - I just sawed (while on a conference call) some masonite (hardboard).... methinks a mini pedalboard is in the pipeline, although sod it, this works!View attachment 3994746

So... that lasted a week!!! Then I added the Source Audio Programmable EQ, which I got so that I have a "regular" setting for each of my two basses and a "synth" setting for when I use the octave (for mimicking those Stevie Wonder lines)....

I did the wampler mods, added a switch to select between the stock LED or diode clipping, and it's true bypass now.
