How are you enjoying the Pike Vulcan?

I like it so far. You can dial in the right amount of overdrive. For me it's just a little edge. It is really flexible in setting multiple style tones. That and the Timmy are my 2 keeper pedals.
I have been happy with the purchase because I can disengage it and get the full Mesa tone from my amp, and then stomp on it to get that extra wooly light overdrive.

I have also used it as a di for recording and it has been great for that as well.

Very cool. :) I've read a few posts that describe it as a Darkglass VMT clone but from the clips I've heard I think it sounds quite different. Not to knock Darkglass of course.
Thank you for the review,
Brent

I haven't ever heard or used a darkglass product. So I can't compare. But for what I was looking for it fit the bill. The overdrive is really adjustable with the switches and just present enough to know it's there. Can get super gritty if you want but I use it for more of a tube breakup rather than a muff or distortion.
The eq section is quite usable, however it really brings out the highs so I have the treble turned down quite a bit. The mids punch well and I usually have the bass up.
So for me it is a great pedal. I am sure the darkglass stuff is great as well, and many other Di's. I just haven't found any reason to replace it since it does exactly what I want it too.
