Show me your monochromatic bass collections...

I'll start. This is my solitary blue bass, the only bass I own at the moment. 2002 Lakland Skyline JO.

Black Brigade.jpg

The Black Brigade. 76 Precision body/83 Precision neck, 09 AmStd Precision, 16 Hammersmith PJ. All with EMG Geezers, dead Dunlop Super Bright Nickels, Hipshot Bass Xtenders (double stop Xtender on the Hammersmith), and as of a couple days ago, I replaced the bridges on the Hammersmith and 76/83 with Fender bent plates.

Never really had a thing for a particular color until 2008, when I bought a black/black/maple 79 Precision. Ended up not clicking with it and sold it 6 months later, but the color stayed with me. I just look way better with a black bass than any other color.

BTW, not a bad bass at all to have as your only.

I have 4 black basses... the jazz on the left is a dark Kelly Green, not black. I don't have a thing for black basses, it just ended up that way. The same way I ended up with 3* Sunburst.

* I have a fretless jazz w/flats in sunburst at my girlsfriends.

Black and sunburst are the 2 most produced colors for mass produced basses. Every day I see black and sunburst Ps and Js for sale cheap. I don't need/want another black/sunburst bass.

I'm refinishing the black 24 fret short scale to yellow w/black hardware come spring.
