Hey Spade, What is the differences between all those? Besides the obvious difference in colors and the number of strings they all seem like the same bass. Are there electronics / pick up differences or differences in the woods that make them sound different from each other. Or are you just a collector of Cirus basses.

Really, I like the way the play so much, I'm simply stocking up. So...4 strings, a backup bass, 5 strings, backup basses..........

Well, after much sweat and toil here it is it is a peavey cirrus custom shop model with an ash body, walnut neck, wenge top, and an ebony fretboard.I further modded it by installing an aguilar obp-3 with a vintage tone control ,and nordstrand pickups with custom pickup covers and series,parellel and single coil switching a with custom battery and electronics covers made of figured walnut.The only thing I have yet to do is install wood knobs with walnut shafts and spalted tops.Well.here are some pix!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was about to do that with a Bartolini PJ epoxied fretless, but it was taking forever for them to get my specs down....then I got quoted at 5k!!! Zoinks.

Fortunately, I love the sound of the Cirrus bass. If they used phenolic fingerboards and piezos on the fretless basses, I'd be set.

Amazing. The first real Custom Shop Cirrus I`ve seen so far and it`s really beautiful.

Can you post some clips to check the different sounds you can get ?
