Cool! I have one of these now that needs a ton of work. I bought one new in the 80's. I haven't seen very many of them. They are pretty cool basses.

I am looking to acquire a mid 80's Arbor flying V bass... is anyone willing to sell theirs? if not, does anyone have any info on theirs that they can share with me..such as material used for body, neck thru or bolt on pics, that show the placement of the strap locks...

Yep I have her. Yeah sounds great. It sounds better then any Gibson bass I've played in a long time, fit and finish is better too. Sound wise I guess you could say it falls somewhere in and between a T-bird, a 90's LP special bass and a little EB cause of the SS, it is very easy to get Mike Watt like tones. So this thing cures all my Gibson bass gas.

I've wanted a V bass since I started playing [back then I didn't even know they actually existed but I still wanted one] 18 years ago, but I never came a cross a good one when I had the money:scowl: But the planets all lined up or something....

Just received a "Davison" flying V in white and it has the well-known hairline crack where the heel meets the body but at least the ad had it discounted.

Out of the box it is unplayable because it appears they missed the neck angle. Only the K-Tone clear-bodied Steinberger clone was worse as far as neck angle from the factory. That one took a while to get set up to be playable(read: shim, put back together, play, wait a day, recheck....repeat for a week).

Because the Davison V was so cheap and looks so nice, I'll dump some time into it to get the neck shimmed correctly and make it playable since I ain't affording a Greco neck-thru V(the only one I want!). Not-so-great pics below are by the seller of what I got here. More pics later when we see sunshine again.
