Show Us Your Dogs!

My Standard Poodle, Xena.

This pic was taken last Spring when she had some hair. Now she's clipped pretty short.

On the left is my dog, she's some sort of Curr mix. On the right is my brother's dog, I believe she's some sort of Pitt mix who we've had to adopt just a week ago. (long story but it has to do with divorce and psycho abusive ex's)
Both are pound rescues.

They getting along great and are absolutely wonderful dogs.
I took this pic a little while ago as they were both sleeping next to my chair while I was working on my comp

Last night we picked up the newest member of our family. Meet Ranger...

(Sorry for the lousy pic).

Ranger spent the last 12 days at the County animal shelter after being picked up as a stray. He's a 1-year-old, 30-lb, pointer mix (maybe some beagle in there, too) who immediately became very attached to me. He has spent every moment he can following me around or laying at my feet.

It's been 10 years since I've had a dog in my life, and I'm very happy to be back on that train again.

Thanks. We've gone to great lengths to train Stella. Incredibly exuberant and gung-ho when we got her, totally off-the-leash. She now responds so well to commands and I walk her without a leash...most days. She sits when she gets to corners and does not run or chase critters into the street.

She has gotten about 6 squirrels this month. As a squirrel goes up a tree, they tend to climb in a circular pattern. Stella has figured this out and runs at the opposite side of the tree as the squirrel comes 'round, she leaps about 4feet up knocking them off. I have to intervene cause squirrels carry pestilence & vets are expensive.

So many great looking dogs in this thread. Love it!

I've posted countless pics of her on Talkbass before, but here are some more pics of my daughter's service dog, Shenandoah, a Golden Retriever/Standard Poodle mix ("goldendoodle"):

I've posted this one many times before, but it's just sooo cute:

I spend most of the day working as her handler. It's a privilege and a joy to work with such an amazing dog!

Keep the pics coming! So many wonderful dogs here.

Here's my baby boy, Ender.

The day I got him at 9 weeks old because his litter was going to the shelter.

In his favorite place to sneak onto and nap - the back of the couch.

And at naptime.

He'll be three in January and he's one of the best dogs I've ever owned. He's part black lab, part boxer, and I suspect part something his mama's owners denied, but he's a great dog all the same and an important part of my family.
