Stroy posted a first build a few years ago that was so great people didn't believe it was his first... he never started production, as was his stated intention.

Enrique, when I saw you last posted on this thread, I thought you were posting pics of your finished bass, cuz quite frankly IMHO my vote would go to you for your first build. POST SOME PICS !! I cant wait to see it !!

Thank you very much Mario. There are some great examples of one hell of first project in this threat (some of them made Tbers who I really think are gifted builders) and to put my project close or at that level is a great compliment

Its summer here so things are going to go really slowly for a few months. There is nothing like the sea (lets not include women here ) but I'm already at the finish steps so I hope I won't last too much.

Have you been able to build a bass after reading that book? Pics? I will search this thread and see if I can find if you already posted pics.

Now I will have a project to keep me busy for a few years.

Hiscock's book is great btw. a definitive must read for starting builders.

Does PVC count?

I know this thread has alot of good woodwork and I know PVC would not exactly qualify this as a "real" bass,it's definitely the first pvc bass to use metal strings. here it is.
