It had a nice growl. I always thought it was the sticker .

thats a Shine hollowbody gibson copy. great bass. medium 32" scale neck just rips so fast! one big fat humbucker that sounds great

Here is my early 80's Gibson Explorer that slowly got the sticker treatment I'd say over 8-10 years.....by the time I realized that it was a fairly valuable bass it was too late. (plus Gibson basses in general went way up in the late 90's, I got this for 300 or 350 way back in the early 90's) I like it though, I know I will never sell it so shag it, I'll keep it as is. A lot of memories of crazy times in some of those stickers!! But damn.........it IS a Gibson Explorer. At least I didn't cover it in sparkly nail polish like I did my black Gibson Thunderbird Bass which I then had to completely strip to bare wood.

i don't remember ever putting stickers on a bass, but i'd consider putting some of those 'bullet hole' stickers on an instrument just to raise awareness about violence in the workplace.

I've never been a fan of that style of bass, because I don't like the way the tiny pickup looks, and I think the pick guards are unattractive. Covering up the pickup and putting those awesome stickers on there...that is bass I would rock any day of the week! Very nicely done.

No full-size pic on this PC(still at work, after "normal working hours"). Got it for $60 + shipping from Japan, NOTHING wrong with it except stickers....Japan folks tend to discount for blemishes. It's about to have pickup rings & StrapLocs added so it can go out to gigs even though it was originally bought as a "parts" bass.

My jaguar skate rock'd with some Krooked eyes and a sticker from 35th, the skate shop I go to. If anyone wants to mail me a Big Boys sticker that's probably the only other thing I'd put on it.
