Hey PB: Are those DR Black Beauties or LaBella tapewounds?

They are LaBella tapes. I love them on the bass. That bass sounds terriffic, even better since I removed the redundant panpot and went to VOL/VOL/TONE on the active pickups. My only complaint is the output is ridiculously high, even more so than the 18V Axcelerator.

Nope, it's a bolt on with the "wedge" body.

We haven't built a neck thru in about 15 years, but there are a few 6's and 5's out there....

here's my Watts Narrow 6- it's a great bass, made by Gary Watts in Oregon. I opted for bubinga wings and a 5-piece bubinga/maple neck with a pau ferro fretboard.

It's got Lane Poor pickups and a bart pre - sounds amazing and plays wonderfully, though I don't really play it that much!
