Anyone know if there's a difference between the P PU cover and the jazz one? I'd always assumed they were the same, but looking at these pic's the jazz looks flatter....or it could just be the angle on the photos?

I'm not sure about curvature. I have a '70s P bass pickup cover that is really flat, but I've seen some earlier P basses sporting very curved covers.
Jazz bass covers are more eliptical in shape whilst P bass covers are more rectangular.
That one looks quite curved.

I've 'reprofiled' mine by hand before today to get them up higher off the strings.
Because the split P p'ups are dimensionally larger and more or less 'stacked' on top of or overlap each other unlike the J single bar, the cover on the P is required to take more real estate on the pick guard to adequately cover them.
As for the 'arch' - it varies with how the cover was (mis)treated in packaging, shipping and installation. If the arch is less pronounced, it might be from getting stomped on and it got flatter. But there is some significant arch to both the P and the J versions.

V sweet! Does the bridge cover fit over all of the mustang bridge or did you have to change the bridge? (the bridge plate on a mustang is quite a substantial beast)

The j cover was the only one I could find to fit the mustang with out any mode. The p pick up cover doesn't look bad back there either!
