Oh, I’ve owned many models from both brands. Wouldn’t venture to say that, but I love my GL L1k and JB2
for what they do, which is very different to what my Rick Cheyennes do.
I would like to have another Kiloton one day, just not with a 1.5” nut.

New preamp day...

Underhill. PD4 pre, 2x FV4, FT4 Treble boost, modded to be variable. Replaced an OBP3. Didn't get much time to play, but oh boy.

It's very nice and pretty and all, but that's not exactly "Ritter-like", right? It's a direct Ritter rip-off. With a mirrored headstock, but the rest is pretty much identical.

I have been building basses for about 35yrs. I do custom one-off's based upon my ideas or customer's requests. I don't have a website and may never. I don't do manufacturing per se. I say Ritter-like because it is. If you are talking about very general shapes...maybe. Even that is quite different. But the devil is in the details. My bridge, nut, string holders, knob, electronics (especially) are all original. I don't do piezo, I do magnetic pups. I take offense to the term "rip-off". I am inspired by many things like shapes in nature, wood characteristics, traditional things. But also included are inspiration from $12k (and MUCH higher) European luthier. Rip-off...no. But if you want to give me $12k for the white bass, maybe. That would be a rip. Details. Pay attention.
