Guys, show us your project cars, boats, bikes. Here is what I recently got, 2004 solara. Still working on a few issues. Has some miles on it, but it runs good. I want to replace the top eventually. I do keep it in a garage so the top is ok.

My 79 Z/28. I bought this as a roller back in 1997, stuffed a mild 350/TH350 combo in it and ran mid 12 second quarter mile times with in in street trim. Paint was iffy but looked good from 20' away. This car earned me a runner up finish at the 1998 IHRA Empire Nationals. This is what the car looked like then......

Sold it to a friend in 2001, he stripped the paint off in anticipation of a full resto, lost interest in it and I bought it back (for less than I sold it for) the way you see it in 2016. Title was still in my name and in 15 years he put exactly 1 mile on the car. I've since painted it gloss black, now I need to put all the weather stripping and exterior trim back on.

My 68 SS396 ElCamino. 1968 was the first year the SS package was offered on the ElCamino (a real SS can be identified by the VIN, the first five digits will be 13880) and of the 42,000 ElCaminos built in 1968 only 5200 were SS cars.

My car was originally blue with black stripes, someone else did the white paint job before I got it. The header panel and left front fender were replaced at one point, the rest of the sheet metal is original. There's a 396 under the hood, and while the original 4 speed stick is gone (I've got a TH350 in there for now while I gather parts for the T-56 swap) the car retains it's original 12 bolt rear with 3:31 gears.

My 81 Camaro, the one in my signature. I bought it 36 years ago today (4-3-1985) as a one owner 25,000 mile car. A few months after buying it I had saved enough money for a set of Cragar S/S rims........

Today it's a 10 second street legal car. While it currently has a 477 BBC under the hood, in planning a single turbo EFI LS swap for better street manners.

Me again! I miss having a hot rod!! I would like to build a swb truck,

If I had the space, I’d like to take on a restomod of a 500-ish cc UJM. I have most of the tools, some of the know how, all of the ambition....just no space. Would have to get rid of one or two motorcycles to liberate some space.

I will likely have to make do with a rebuild of my rusty old snowblower. Tecumseh 10hp motor is running strong but needs some body work.

A big part of me wanted to rent a house with a garage or at least an unfinished basement so I could buy up an old Mini bike and throw a wrench at it until it started running, maybe give it a new coat of paint. That's going to have to wait a bit, but I'd rather learn about this stuff by screwing up a cheap thing that didn't work in the first place than screw up but working on a (my) car that's already in working order.

Some people have a natural aptitude for things, I'm the guy that has to think about "what if I screw this up in every way possible?" Because I will.

Wife's truck.... 05 Silverado 1500. 6" lift, 35" tires and a (for now) stock 5.3 LS under the hood.

The fuel pump crapped out when I went to park it out back for the winter, so my project this week is to get the tank out and put a new pump in. Also needs brake lines replaced and I have to do a cat back exhaust as well.
