This must class as a rig of doom now . . .

Bass goes to the Sansamp BDDI;

Clean output to Ampeg SVT-II powering the Marshall VBC810

Coloured output goes to the Peavey Firebass 700, which is powering the Peavey 410 TFX and Peavey 215 D BW, the peavey crossover is also set sending the high end of about 800-900Hz to the Peavey Classic 30 which is running on its clean channel.

This is running 12 ten inch speakers, two 15 inch speakers and 1 twelve inch speaker, with a power output from all amplifiers rating in at ~1030 watts

That's indeed a rig of doom. How do you like that marshall cab? I passed up an insane deal on one a few months back, and am still kicking myself for it to be honest. I haven't read much about it; but it's gotta sound sick with that SVT-II...

Its sounding damned good! I managed to get mine at a hell of a deal too £275 (but with £75 postage, was cheaper than fuel to and spending a day to cross the whole country!)

It sounds pretty damned good! I still have to compare it to the peavey 410 and i would love to be able to compare it a modern and vintage ampeg cab.

One thing i can say about it tho, its build to last too, it uses plywood not particle board like modern ampegs, and you cant see how thick it is, but it is pretty bloody thick! (~4.5cms compared to the 215 i have being just over 2cms thick), it also has skid rails of sorts on the back, and rubber feet on the back, there is also a diamond plate kick plate and diamond plate corners running right up the rear edges, it has 2 handles instead of the bar like on ampegs, and it also has a pop up handle on the underside which is hellishly useful!!!

Just stumbled across this thread, but my rig is so bad ass, that I need a roadie to help me move it!!!!!!!!!

this is a GK4112 (folded horn 4x12 with 2x10 in the middle)
on the bottom, an eden 1x15 with a JBL, Boogie 1x15 with an EV, 2x12 SWR powered by Boogie bass 400. I didnt bother to put my other gear in the pic because, well my camera isnt that big! I had to get all the way across the room to get this! At least I didnt resort to throwing guitars in my pic!

ps my boogies power switch just broke, argh! that other amp is an Epiphone valve junior. 1 el84, class A5 watt! Plenty loud thru 2 cabs for home rocking!

Killer Carvin rig, absolutely smokin. I'm actually glad to see that classic Korg DT-1 in your rack, though! Reminds me that I won't be needing a new one for sometime, those things are little workhorses!

I just got that Korg DT-1 Pro recently. I've been wanting one since they were new on the market. I saw Mr. Big in Austin, TX around 1988 and Billy and Paul both had them in their racks. Already the gear whore, I was looking at their rigs trying to identify everything. I was like, "Wow what's that thing with the light that goes back and forth? That's cool!" Not being able to afford the rackmount version, I've used the pocket size DT-1 forever. (You can just see it on top of the rack in the bottom picture.) A guy I worked with decided he just HAD to have that tuner and set about hunting one down. Shortly after he got it, he decided he didn't really need it after all and sold it to me.

The truth is I don't use the Ampeg combo on top. I used to, but now our cellist plays through that. Sometimes when he's not around though, I like to have fun.

This is what I have to compete with; originally the guitarist had another ADA cab powered by a Japanese tube head which recently bit the dust, so it's just the Marshall and the one ADA cab. The Avatar at the bottom is also mine, but it's just collecting dust at the moment.

I got one also. it's in my studio for tuning my old keyboards and other dinky toys. It works well, but hate how you have to remember to hit the mode switch to get to "tune". IMHO what else would I want it to do? frappe? Blend? crush ice?

I wish I could just flip the switch on my power supply and it would be ready to go without having to touch the tuner. But that would be too easy.

The finish is pretty tough. I don't think you'd hurt it. But it might be kinda rough on your privates.

So, I don't have photos of my 'big rig', so here's my practice rig. I know it can't possibly compare to NC's rig, but some day maybe my dad will buy me a new rig.
