Like Niko, he's also a rescue.Kudos to you for taking him in.We got this little guy in February, after our last one succumbed to his long-term health issues last October.Like Niko, he's also a rescue.
This is Jack. A dapple Dachshund (the only dogs I've ever had) that's a very rare light red/brown color. He's got one normal eye and one white/blue eye. Rare, but it happens sometimes with dapples. He's about eight, and the literal definition of rescue. He was clearly abused in a past life. He's fearful, and very skittish. He also nervous-pees when scared. It's incredible anyone would abuse this dog. He's docile, friendly, well-behaved, and super loving. He's gotten much better since we got him, but he's still traumatized.
People suck.

Thank you! I could never buy an animal from a store, etc., knowing how many are in need of rescue. One walk through a shelter and it's hard to feel any other way.
Plus, if you favor a specific breed, there's probably a rescue for them, so you can still get what you want, and save an animal. It's a win/win/win for you, the shelter, and the fur baby.

She's a Greyhound, retired rescued track dog from Alabama (I said that with an accent). So is this a grey or whippet?
Poor baby and hope he makes a full recovery. He looks like a gentle good dog.Posted this in the Basses forum but thought i'd share here too. Vet thinks he may have a mini-stroke on Friday, but didn't stop him rocking out some open root notes.

My grand dog, Whiskey. Gave him to my oldest son twelve years ago and this old boy is as much a part of the family and office as anybody... Yes, he comes to work every day and is on the payroll..... He been getting puny and last week the vet found a lump in his anal glands (TMI, I know).... Well we just found the lump was a malignant cancer and we know our days with him are now numbered.... It is just so heartbreaking to see such a gentle and loving soul slowly fade. Poor fellow. Maybe send him a kind thought if you have a second.
