Show Your Spoiled Dog Pictures.

A bunch of stuff most of us know already but worth repeating....
Pitbulls have been bred (for a couple hundred years) to specifically not carry aggression toward humans no matter what terrible things have been done to them, so it's not common to see them hold a grudge against the humans, this is why they are easier to rehabilitate from bad situations than most dogs.
In a dog fight, a Pitbull must be willing to be handled by humans in the ring while fighting to the death, otherwise it's hard to successfully use them for (stupid recreation/gambling) dog fighting.
The domesticated canine is naturally friendly towards humans in their desire to have a cooperative partner to make their lives better and will often do as we ask even at their own peril.
I believe asking a dog to fight another dog is a betrayal of our long standing partnership pact with the domesticated canine.

Just got this guy from the shelter, he was a puppy mill rescue and a hot mess initially but a sweet boy.

Bath yesterday and a fresh haircut this morning and a 50 degree early afternoon make for a perfect day for some playtime.

Beautiful!

I had a champion blue/grey standard that I had cut very much the same.

Except for the pompoms. ;)

I only have one picture of him...a trimmed Polaroid. I really do need to scan it. Soon.

Been telling myself that for years.

And to report my most excellent friend buried her beagle Sunday after the two of us spent Saturday assisting her in her transition. Stayed with her continuously to until she passed away around 4:30 am. I trust she doesn't mind being seen as we remember her:

Thanks. It's weird how she's turned color. Just two years ago she was as black as black can be.

Beautiful pup and excellent photography! Thanks for sharing the photo. As a dog lover myself, please give condolences to your friend. Been there, done that with three prior dogs and I know this is a unhappy time for your friend.
