When we had Chase in the backyard for the first, the neighbors pitbull went crazy. She hit the fence barking and losing her natural mind. Chase without a lick of fear trotted up to the fence, stared at Lucy, got down low on his front paws and started running the length of the fence. In an instant, Lucy went from mad dog to play mode. She ran as fast as she could to keep up with Chase, and from that day on they became great friends. Lucy never barked at Chase again like she first did, and if there ever was any barking, it was Chase to get a tired Lucy to keep playing.

Chase was an ambassador and he had dignity. We brought him into the lobby of the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, which was a dog friendly hotel. We had a crowd of people come up to see him. It was a bit overwhelming answering everyone’s questions but kind of neat that there was that much interest in him. He was an amazing dog and I miss him every day.

Rock 'n Roll dog.

Thanks to David Crosby (that one, the One and Only) for informing me about the pasta fork. This one

As it is now the first line back scratcher of love here were Odin (the standard poodle) permits me to share his home. Here I am, minding my own business, when Odin comes to me and sits with his back presented. A pasta fork presented, we hang out in back scratching nirvana for a few minutes ....

I've got one of those. And NEVER use it. Sparky's gonna love it! Wonderful idea!
