Show Your Sunburst Bass!!!!

I love sunburst and natural finishes equally. When I first started playing guitar, around 1965, the Ventures were IT for my friends and me. And sunburst Fenders were the tools of Gods!!

Sunburst and natural finishes seem more organic to me, whereas solid finishes seem more machine-like. I like to be able to see the wood under the finish!

I love sunburst, though I think Gibson does them the best. Seems like a lot of others are often faded odd (or no fade at all).

My bass is a ’62 Fender Bass VI bought from roommate for $250 while in college (theory/comp major) in ‘75, a nosebleed to learn on from scratch and still my main bass after several decades of epic sessions and great memories. The ‘antique’ is my forearm wearing through the sunburst layers over 40+ years.

Is there a club for sunburst owners? Here are mine:

Converted an Epiphone Les Paul Express 22" scale guitar into a bass.

Had a new Hofner/Beatle bass body made for a Rondo Hadean 21" scale bass uke, I call it a Hofnelele.

I just love burst basses, here are mines.
From left to right:
Sire V7 Marcus Miller
Sterling Ray34CA Classic Active
Stingray 4H Classic
Stingray 4HH
The SR Classic is a more a chocolate burst depending on the light.

Here is Epiphone Les Paul vintage Cherry Sunburst,with gold hardware,right down to gold pickup covers,and strap buttons. It had the original chrome hardware,when I got it.

The burst was much more obvious from the rear:

I've also got a '59 Gibson Melody Maker that started off as 3-tone SB but lost all the red from sunfade:
