Show Your Sunburst Bass!!!!

I love sunburst and natural finishes equally. When I first started playing guitar, around 1965, the Ventures were IT for my friends and me. And sunburst Fenders were the tools of Gods!!

Sunburst and natural finishes seem more organic to me, whereas solid finishes seem more machine-like. I like to be able to see the wood under the finish!

I've only ever had a few.

Ibanez ATK with quilt top and amber-burst (sold to a TB member):

I've also got a '59 Gibson Melody Maker that started off as 3-tone SB but lost all the red from sunfade:

Please, please, don't sell that '66 or melody maker, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, don't sell them.
