Really, that Melody maker struck a nerve, my brother was a guitar player, a pretty awesome one at that, died way before his time.

His second guitar was a Melody Maker, just like yours, except the finish wasn't faded.
Bought it for $100 during the heyday of 48th street.
It so reminded me of listening to him play it, through a Leslie out of all things.

And that Jazz bass, had a few pre-cbs's in my day, so looking at it is like rubbing my own stupidity (for selling them), in my nose.

I had an SX Ursa 1 that had a sunburst finish I really liked. This picture doesn't do it justice. Kinda wish I still had it. Looked good , played good, sounded good.
