The red is a 25K volume by Xotic and the SA is their [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] (running into the DMC micro.PRO).
The Avalanche is a new fuzz by Mountainking Electronics that sounds like the fuzz bass on old Cream and Mountain records. The one on the end is the Giza overdrive/distortion by Does it Doom that sounds like a DOD 250 and Boss DS-1 blended into a Matamp GT120 amp.
It's tidy, tiny, and fits in my carry-on luggage! The perfect-for-me fly rig (got a bunch of int'l dates in the calendar for 2024), as well as those occasional in-town rehearsals, recordings, and gigs, where I only need the bare essentials.
Would I like more options? Definitely! But, after determining what were genuine needs, versus things I just wanted, this is where I've (happily) ended up.

Sweet compact board. How do you like the Sushibox UA? I’ve got one on the way. I hope it’s not too scooped a sound, but I’m hopeful the EQ section is still versatile enough to give me what I need.
Thanks! LOVE the UA. Also the London Underground (which is one of its predecessors). If you keep the mids turned up full, and don’t boost treble or bass too aggressively, it’s isn’t overly scooped out. It definitely can go that way, though. The controls are pretty interactive, so experimenting is key.
Right on, thanks. Yeah, when I read he was doing the new regular ones at the higher hand wired voltage, it seemed like a no brainer to get a tube in my chain for the price (and the nano+ friendly footprint). I was also interested in the Slampegg, but he didn't have any in stock at the moment.
Nice, yeah the tube is definitely not just for show; it adds great colour and saturation. Depending on what you are going for tonally, you can always try popping a different tube in there as well. 12AX7 is standard, but you can go lower gain 5751, 12AT7, etc) if you want to push more clean headroom
It has a bunch of positions I like. My favorite is the same as yours, about 11 o'clock. I also like 9 o'clock and zero for stacking with other fuzzes. One thing you should absolutely try (if you have a two-pickup bass anyway) is turning it to 3 o'clock or max, switching to your bridge pickup and rolling your tone almost all the way off. It sounds like a heavy scooped guitar. It's probably my favorite overdrive ever and it still annoys the absolute F out of me that it doesn't have an external volume knob!
last lil mini board was too small, so i bought a cutting board at Homegoods for $12, and here we are.
Wire management on a 1-spot is a pain but i think it cleaned up pretty well.
