Shure PCM200 in-ears system question

What's more apt to case distortion in the signal being sent to the receiver (ear buds) - monitor output level from the board too high, or signal level on the transmixer set too high?

Any recommendations to get the cleanest signal in ears which can then be adjusted with the receiver volume? Thanks.

monitor level from the board will easily clip my ps400 (as evidenced by the lights on the front as well as the sound) so i expect the same is true of the cheaper 200;

keep the gain into the unit at a sane level and bring up the beltpack volume instead.

Rolls pm352 also helps attenuate this

No add-ons needed, just turn down the console send. If you are using it on house rigs, get a barrel connector attenuator.
