Well, if your initials just happen to be SRB, it's your signature model. Happy you got the bass you wanted. YAY!

For a guy who didn't take any lessons until the late 90s, he sure made it work. And before anybody claims this is off topic, let me just point that half of this thread has been people trashing U2 and trashing Adam Clayton.

Are you in the habit of digging deeper into the discography of bands you don't like? I for one would rather spend the time getting to know the music of my favorite artists rather than those who don't appeal to me.

i first bought a sig bass model almost 5 years ago and it is my main bass, because i love it (fleabass).

Why did i get a sig mod? mainly because i love Flea's tone and thought the bass would help. i never wanted to be flea but cant deny he inspired alot of different aspects of my playing. I love the way the bass sounds and am exremley happy with it. I personnaly do not believe the sig models have much sway with me in buying basses. I ultimately buy a bass for the sound, playability and features.

However i have recently been wanting to get a decent Jazz bass and funnily enough the one i am close to pulling the trigger on is another sig model. Its the V7 Sire MM sig. Why? because i wanted a bass with a lot of the features this bass has. I am not a Miller fanboi. I do appreciate what he does but i am soley thinking about buying the bass for the features and price as they seem "too good to be true".

I don't mind the music - it's pleasant enough; It's their preening, self-important attitude and faux concern for the world, all the while dodging taxes and trying to destroy wilderness for their pleasure. But that has little bearing on the signature bass in question.
