I am trying to see if the SLB300 could be converted. I'm comfortable carving a new nut and bridge but I presume the fingerboard is profiled for right-handed stringing. Also wondered if they have sided construction such as an actual bass bar and sound post.
I was down in L.A. and San Diego trying to find one in stock so I could take a peek before I buy - but not one to be found. I am going to be in NYC in May but again I can't see any store online saying they have one.
My other options are getting a fly away type travel bass I guess.
