(yes, I tried a search, but the wording is strange so I got back gibberish!)

I'd like a pedal that allowed me to have multiple instruments (in my case, a bass and a keyboard)
The last pedal I checked out like this was mechanical and *noisy*. I'd like one that was quiet and might even support 3 instruments. Does such at thing exist?

thanks

Depends on what you want to spend really. Lehle makes a 3 in 1 stereo instrument switcher that looks great but it's $300. Morely makes an ABC switcher for under $100. Saturnworks also makes a switchable mixer that can be customized for up to 4 instruments and that's about $150ish I believe.

The Morely is obviously the cheapest and easiest to find but the other two are nice because they can both adjust the levels of each line. This comes in handy if using instruments I different outputs.

Rack okay or does it have to be a pedal?

Which pedal did you check out that was noisy?

Lehle would be very hard to beat for noise level simply because of their switching system. Palmer may have something as well, but I am not sure about the noise level there.

The Morley Twin Mix allows 2 instruments into 1 or 2 amps and has individual gains. Around $80. Have not used it though, can't speak to it being silent or not.

You can do two instruments with a Boss LS-2. Cheap and quiet with adjustable levels.
I use an LS-2 to switch guitar/bass for a little project I have now now but this is probably what you are looking for. It can support 3 instruments but you will lose the level function of the pedal if you run 3 different instruments into the inputs. But find one for used online or just cough up the $110 and you wont regret it. there are a million different things that this can be used for

are the audio inputs on the keyboard ... I know the inputs on my keys are a bit touchy for plugging bass into ... but when plugged in , they can be processed by the keys internal processors ... in my case , a Korg Kronos or a Yamaha MOXF ...

and my Line 6 HDProX has a few inputs that are assignable per patch ...

used a morley A/B box previously for switching with no issues ...

also had a stereo volume pedal that could be set up as a balance pedal instead ... A/B w/some extra volume control ...

I've got a Lehle 3 in 1 that I don't need anymore, if interested!

Educate me here - I'm looking at this and it *appears* to be an output switcher, not an input switcher.

What am I missing? I want two - or even three - different instruments connected that I would switch that would then run into my pedals. Attenuating each input would be good, but I can always just set my volume on my keys to an appropriate level... Two basses become a bit more tricky, of course.

I don't have a 3at1 SGoS but I can vouch for these switchers. Best thing, besides their overall quality, especially their silent, seamless operation, is midi. The SGoS switchers play so well together. As a result, they are the epitome of versatility

Here's the deal,

There can't be anyone, anywhere, who doesn't know what a drag it can be swapping cables when changing instruments during a gig! So eliminate it - with the Lehle 3at1 SGoS! This True Bypass pedal switches the signals from magnetic and piezo pick-ups just as free of losses and background noise as it does line signals. The secret is in its gold-plated-contact relays and its active pop-and-click suppression. Any differences in level can be ironed out, and Outputs A and B lowered relative to C.

You can also feed signals from totally different sound sources, such as keyboards and CD/MP3 players, to an amp or a PA channel. All inputs and outputs, plus the internal signal path, are stereo. Press the active footswitch again to route the signal to the second output, and thus to an instrument tuner, another amp, or a mixing console channel.

The Lehle 3at1 SGoS can be remote controlled using MIDI program change commands. You can also network the unit with other Lehle SGoS switchers via a stereo jack socket. Cable swapping to change instruments? History, when you use the Lehle 3at1 SGoS!

Lehle builds all sorts of switcher. This is the one: Invalid Link Removed
I've got an older version, so the trim pots are inside (you need to open the box to adjust them).

Tombomb has just posted all you need to know, I think...If not, I can take the unit out of its box and check (I bought it used but never used it)...
