Silly question....but!

This is most likely a silly question (but they need to be asked!) but can you use an EQ pedal and the EQ on your amp to blend sounds? for example setting the EQ pedal with boosted mids and bass and treble cut and then using the EQ on the amp to boost bass? the way im thinking of doing it this way that it may act as a dual amp situation? i dunno if im making sense haha

I don't see why you couldn't, if I'm understanding your question correctly. You mean adding a frequency boost with an external device?

pretty much yes! im trying to get a growly sound but with enough low end to support myself and the band

Yeah, that would probably work. You'd have to experiment with the pedal and the amp to see what sounds best to you.

It can be complicated. It depends on what the tone controls are doing and in what order they are placed.

You can superimpose waves so that they can add and generate a combination from each EQ. They can be used to fine tune the setting.

If the second EQ is filtering and cutting off as in a high pass, low pass filter or notch filter, it could wipe out some of the first EQ settings.

Experimenting and listening will tell you how effective your combination is working.
