Double Bass Simandl Book 2 - A New Journey

Just picked this up from the local sheet music store in the area:

Approximately twelve years ago I purchased book 1 from Albersen Bladmuziek.

Unfortunately and recently Henk, who sold me my copy of book 1, had to retire due to health reasons.
-I wish him good health!

On the way back I started reading the introductory pages and I was quite thrilled!

Wish me all the best in journey that is called the thumb position.

Good luck on your journey into and through Book 2. I will never regret going through it. It was foundational for me, although I'll admit that there were some places where I just wanted to run away like that Valkyrie-ish etude.
