Sire Bass V9 - Issues (battery compartment, knobs)

Just got my new Sire V9. Two major issues here and wondering if any of you have used and have a fix:
-The dual knobs do not operate well independently where if I adjust the tone for instance it also turns the volume knob

-the battery compartment came with a soft piece inside to separate/hold the two batteries but you can't actually fit two 9V's in there. So I was basically forced to jam them in ackwardly and it felt like it is probably crimping the wires inside after managing to wedge it closed

These are two awful design problems on what otherwise is a fantastic bass.

The volume knob might be pushed down too far so that it touches the tone so they are working together. Or the tone might not be pushed down far enough?

Can you post a pic of the battery cavity? That sounds weird...

The double knob has a setscrew on the bottom part and the top just pushs on,hold the bottom knob and gently pull up the top knob unail it moves independently. That should fix your problem with the knobs.
