Sire M5 - 5str or Ibanez SR505e ?

Greetings!, (i am a non english speaker, so im sorry if there any false or broken grammar)
Im currently looking for a lightweight 5 str bass but not super light weight, because im having a shoulder pain with a Bass that weigh 9.2 lbs (im too weak)

Im looking for a bass that have versatile tone, sits well in the mix, and have a fat, wide punchy tone. I generaly play Pop, RnB, Gospels

So my pick goes down to these two;
The 505e is lightweight, humbucks, my only cons it have a too warm tone, maybe because of jatoba/walnut neck and rosewood fret?

M5 have a wide variety tone and eq, ebony frets, i heard some review says that they are lightweight? The cons it need two 9Vs and it also cost $250 more in my country

Or do you guys have more suggestion/opinion? I really appreciate it. Thanks!

Never played the M5, but you should be able to get a brighter tone (if that's what you want) from the Ibanez. Ibanez SR 505 is a good work horse bass. I've owned a couple and now have an SR755 which has the same electronics.
Try both, the choice really is up to you.
