Sire M7 Pickup wiring...

This is the spot were the red wire and black wire are soldered togther then that black wire runs into the pick up area and is screwed into the wood seems like a ground

This also came to my attention and found out that this blue dile changes volume max clockwise its louder and all the way counter clockwise sounds lower for some reason have you or anyone have checked this out

Hey Jose, that blue pot sets the balance/volume between passive and active, I like to set it so the active mode is just a bit louder. hope that helps.

The two black wires are ground/earth from the pickups, the Yellow and White are the the positive/hot wires from the two pickups. It looks like that red wire is coming from the battery and should/could be going to the Active/passive switch. If that was the case, then that red wire would go the the centre contact on the switch. If you're not happy with circuits, I would get someone who knows what to do.

You know i think that might be the problem i have i will test it out on Sunday Really hope its this blue pot becuase the bass sounds good on a amp and the one i use at church its just going out the Sound system The volume is not up enough

Hey Sire sent me the diagram for the V9 wiring they were really responsive seeing this wiring were would you see that red wire i think its a ground wire

Sire finally sent me pictures of an actual Sire M7 control Cavity and the wiring is is completely different from the schematics shown above’ I’m going to post the pictures here so just in case someone else needs it in the future they can reference to this thread...Thx much for all your help...

Hey guys,

I have a question for the M7 (2nd Gen) Owners:

My output Socket got loose and due to twisting 3 of the wires came off.
Now I want to solder them back, but i dont know where they go ....
There is a loose Red, White and Black/Red Wire...
I already figured out that the Red and White have to be soldered onto one Tip, and the Black/Red onto another ..
The question is : on which one ?
The barrel Jack that Sire put into the Bass has 4 Tips ... -> One Big one on the Outside, then another parralel to it a little further on the inside, and then 2 same size 45° to it .... on one of the two same sized is still a black wire connected.

Could somebody maybe send me a Picture of the Wiring in their Bass ?
The Wiring-Diagram of Sire doesnt show this Type of Barrel Jack and additionally only shows 3 cables connected. Not 4.
Confusing ......

Hi I have a Sire M7 pickups that I need to intall in my bass but unfortunately the pickups don’t have any info as to which which wires are hot and where it attaches on the dpdt switch, can anyone with a sire M7 bass take a close picture of the control cavity showing how the pickup wires are wired to the switch for me, will really appreciate any help, already contracted sire but their diagrams don’t show it either...

Hello, sorry for bringing up an older thread.
Can someone help me eliminating the stacked volume/tone pot from my m7? My pot already crapped out once and finding the same pot was difficult. So i would like to use just a volume pot and eliminate passive tone from the curcuit.
