SIRE P7 with Fender roasted neck

I recently modded my Sire P7 second gen. with a Fender roasted neck and Schaller tuners. I think it looks Great! Sounds Great too. I needed to lightly sand the neck pocket to fit the neck.

To me, the heart of a bass is it's neck. That bass is at least as much Fender as it is Sire IMHO. If it works for you, then it's all academic. Play on.

I did it because I liked the shiny looks of the finished gloss on the roasted maple neck. I got it used, but it was new in the box unmounted

It didn't fit. I had to sand the neck pocket for 5 min with 60 grit sand paper. No problem with intonation.
