Sire u7

Late to the party, but yeah, I ordered a Rosegold one past year. It has a much more modern tone than any other Sire Jazz Bass (V series), especially the first string, which sounds more like a Sadowsky than a Sire. With flatwounds and rolling off the tone, you can get it to sound a bit more traditional, but definitely not vintage in any way. That first string is untamable, and it’s impossible to take away its almost hi-fi character. I like it; it’s well-made, very beautiful, but I don’t feel a special connection with it.

I don’t have a scale but mine is super light… had it modded to be a little more P-Basslike.
