Six String Bass?

Yes, I have a Brice HXP-406 and it is a great bass for the money. Here are some pics of my 6 string. :bassist:

I have a Brice Defiant 6. I bought it used and it is actually a very fun instrument to play. I only recently picked it up again to play and realized what I've been missing. It's an awesome bass to experiment with extended range on. I wouldn't mind selling it eventually, and I have toyed with the idea on several occasions, but I would really like to have another six string to take its place. I'm thinking that an ESP LTD D-6 would fit the bill. ;) If anyone has one of those I would be forever grateful if you could post some pictures.

There are some beautiful basses in this thread and it is still young! I'm looking forward to drooling over some more six string basses.

bstringkyle, that looks incredible. One of the things I don't like about the Brice (and it's trivial, I know) is that the it's such a light color. That looks unbelievable. Let me know if you ever want to trade. ;)

Very good for the price. I like the HXB406. I've not tried the Z6 neck-thru, because, for the price, you could pick up something else a little better on the used market. I've heard they're quality though.

I have a Z6 (obviously, if you saw my post). I used to have an HXB-406, but I sold it when I got the Douglas WOB826, which I like better.

The Quality of the Z6 is good, I figure the skimping was in the electronics. That said, I have no complaints and got way more than my money's worth 'cause mine was a b-stock. The biggest difference in the Z6 and both of the other 6ers I have had though is string spacing. The Z6 is spaced wide and, well it is kicking my butt right now. But I'm more of a 5 string player anyways, and over time I hope to get more comfortable with the Z6.

I never looked into the used 6 market, so you may be right about used value, but I've never seen anything like a Z6 at the same price point new!

that's a streamer stage I with SS2 inlays.

SS2 got narrow spacing and this looks wide[/QUOTE

:spit:No it aint! The wood is clearly Afzelia, if you have a look you can see it through the cracked finish in the photo - round about control knobs. (Also it is clearly not maple if you have the pickups out). The hidden thru neck constuction can be seen clearly from the back - the laminates are very obvious, and they can't be seen from the front of the body. It is much heavier than a stage 1. Without any doubt this is a stage 2, will post another couple of pics at some point
