Six string basses with narrow string spacing

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a good 6 string bass with narrow string spacing at a "not so much" expensive price, something like 2K max. I play an Ibanez SR506M with 16.5mm spacing and am looking for something around 17mm.
Thanks

You can also go even narrower than16-17mm. The Ibanez Gerald vesley(?) sig model the cheaper one (unless you want to spend $6k) is 14mm. Just a thought...

14mm would feel like a guitar imo, no good for slapping :/

Carvin would be my first choice.

does Carvin allow to customize the string spacing? If not, what is the spacing on Carvin 6ers?

Hi there! The new Ibanez BTB 1406e Premium has 17 mm string spacing and is around 1600 bucks :)

Played a BTB 6 for two gigs, grat tone and good to handle but my hands still suffered a bit because of the 35''scale :/ not a bad option tough.

Cort Curbow?

there are no 6 string Cort Curbows :/ they do offer a 6 string on the Artisan series I guess, will give them a look :)

Unfortunately, no, the SS is fixed by the Hipshot bridge. The spacing is 17mm at the bridge and the neck is around 2" at the nut.

But 17mm I find to be extremely comfortable on my bunny 6. It keeps the overall size of the instrument down and economy of motion is kept to a minimum with plucking and hopping over all those strings.
